'Mortal Kombat X' Latest News: Developer NetherRealm Studios Simplifies Fatalities
Promo clips of the highly anticipated fighting video game 'Mortal Kombat X' will feature some amazing and ghastly moves that will certainly frighten people who will play the game. Recently, developer of the game, NetherRealm Studios, has assured fans that it will make the best part of the Mortal Kombat game series simpler - the Fatalities, the distinguishing finishing moves.
IB Times reports that for many players 'Fatalities' have been complicated tricks that needs to be achieved at the tail of a match by pressing a series of buttons that will initiate a Fatality. However, in case players do not succeed in giving the correct input within the limited time period that they would have at their disposal, it is likely that they will finish the game with just a light punch or kick ending the game on a somewhat sad note, reported GameSpot.
During a recent live stream by NetherRealm Studios, community specialist Tyler Lansdown disclosed that a small skull seen at the screen bottom in the videos that was revealed earlier was actually related to the Fatalities.
Explaining further, Lansdown said, "Now, we've learned through years and years of study that there are a lot of people who just can't pull off Fatalities, or they get freaked out or they can't figure out the timing. So when the game launches, you'll have a couple of those - maybe three of them - day one. You'll have those just to use and do easy Fatalities on."
Lansdown added, "There are certain places you can unlock those and things like that. So you'll always have access to easy Fatalities--if you want to use them,"
During the live stream, it was revealed that Goro, the pre-order playable character bonus, will be made available later as part of the DLC. More recently, NetherRealm Studios also confirmed the existence of Erron Black, a gun slinging cowboy, in the upcoming fighting video game.
The other Kobatants that were confirmed recently include Kung Lao, Liu Kang and Kung Jin. In addition, rock band, System of a Down is teaming up with NetherRealm for the game.
'Mortal Kombat X' will be released for PC, PS4 and Xbox One on 14 April, 2015. The PS3 and Xbox 360 editions will be released some time later.
