Turkish developer MobGe Games has just announced a new mobile platformer, 'Viking Mushroom,' a side-scrolling mobile game, which is expected to be completed in the next seven to eight months, for iTunes App Store and Google Play.

IB Times reports that the gameplay as well as the graphics of the upcoming 'Viking Mushroom' reminds one of the recently released 'Rayman' games and this should thrill fans of the platforming genre as well as mobile game users on the whole.

During a recent interview with the Examiner, a representative of MobGe Games revealed the game and also talked at length about the upcoming title. According to the MobGe representative, apparently 'Viking Mushroom' will be regarding the Vikings of the past as well as their lives. The game will include some interesting and beautiful fantasy elements.

Appreciating the graphics of the game, Touch Arcade reports that it has some influences from games like 'Rayman Legends,' especially the active characters that appear and move in the background. While to some this may be a subtle touch, but it is greatly appreciated when a developer devotes time to make video games appear and feel more alive as well as atmospheric. This is all the more true when it is a mobile game meant for smartphones and tablets.

MobGe has also promised that the upcoming title will be a humorous experience. At the same time, they stated that a number of the runes and items are based on real medieval artifacts. In addition, the writers of the game's plot have gone through a number of Viking stories. Hence, fans seeking an authentic Viking experience could find it in 'Viking Mushroom.'

Explaining as to why 'Viking Mushroom' has been name so, MobGe promised that mushrooms will play an essential role in the game. However, they refused to reveal any further detail until the game's release. According to MobGe, the story of the upcoming game will be very immersive, so mushrooms could be what the Vikings consider something dear or something alike.

'Viking Mushroom' will be available for iOS and Android devices sometime in 2016.
