UFC 190 News: Correia Gets Personal with Rousey, Says ‘I Hope She Does Not Kill Herself’

At 11-0 with 11 finishes, and having gone past the first round just once in her MMA career, it seems clear one does not need to give additional motivation to who Sports Illustrated calls the "World's Most Dominant Athlete." But that's exactly what Brazilian Bethe Correia has been doing in the lead up to the Aug. 1 fight at UFC 190 in Brazil.

"Under pressure, she is proving weak. When her mom put pressure on her, she ran away from home. When she lost, it was because of drugs. That's not a superhero. She is not mentally healthy; she needs to take care of herself. She is winning, so everybody is around her cheering her up, but when she realizes she is not everything she believes she is, I don't know what might happen. I hope she does not kill herself later on," Correia said laughing after referencing the many revelations Rousey made in her very personal book "My Fight/Your Fight."

Rousey's autobiographical tell-all details her rise to superstardom, along with the many challenges she met along the way. One of the revelations she made was that after her Olympic run in 2008, she battled addiction to painkillers and alcohol.

The UFC Women's Bantamweight champion also wrote about her father's suicide. After suffering an accident, Rousey's father suffered crippling back pain, and when the pain became too much to bear, he took his own life.

"None of us were the same after that," Rousey writes in the book.

"I want to knock her out, show to everyone that she is a lie. She wants to stand up with me, let's see. I want to humiliate her and show the world she has no MMA. She is focused on movies, books," Correia was also quoted saying.

Correia will get a chance to back up her words on Aug. 1 at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil at UFC 190.
