'Mistresses' Season 4 Cast Updates: Hints Alyssa Milano’s Return? Set To Air In Summer 2016

"Charmed" alumna and lead actress Alyssa Milano could return to ABC's mystery drama and soap opera television series "Mistresses" season 4, according to recent rumors.

California Film Commission's announcement that "Mistresses" would get tax incentives as it starts filming the show's season 4 in California could hint the "Charmed" alumna's come back to the series, according to Christian Today.

In a statement, Disney Senior Vice President for Production Gary French said that they could not wait to bring the "Mistresses" series season 4 back to California where they had access to the best crews, the best talent, and the best of everything they needed.

According to French, the goal was to get superior production and financial value for their investment and they could get both at home.

In the recent season, ABC opted to transfer the filming of "Mistresses" if the series in Vancouver, Canada to reduce the production-related expenses. This resulted to losing Milano, since it was included in her contract that she cannot film outside Los Angeles to remain close to her family.

Milano has not yet given clarity on whether she is going to return to the series, now that "Mistresses" is going to film in Los Angeles. "Blue Bloods" star Jennifer Esposito filled her spot in "Mistresses" season 3; but then, the former will not return in the upcoming season, according to Deadline. She reportedly agreed to a one-year deal and her contract is up.

Aside from "Charmed" and "Mistresses," Milano is also known for her roles in "Commando," "Fear," "Young Justice," and "Breaking In." There is no future series or film lined-up for the actress at the moment, so it would be highly likely to see her return in "Mistresses."

At the moment, "Mistresses" stands as the only series to have tax incentives from the California Film Commission so it can go back to Los Angeles for filming.

"Mistresses" season 4 is set to air in 2016.
