'Mission Impossible 5' Movie Update: Crew & Cast Complete Production, Upcoming Trailer in the Works

Director Christopher McQuarrie has announced that the production of 'Mission Impossible 5' is complete and the Tom Cruise starrer is all set to hit the theaters. According to McQuarrie, despite the numerous stumbling blocks confronted by the cast and crew during the course of its production, the movie is now ready to overwhelm and amaze.

According to Christian Today, the director recently took to his Twitter handle to announce, "That's a wrap," adding, "1000 thanks to our incredible cast and crew. You truly achieved the impossible."

Earlier, the producers postponed the premiere of the much-awaited movie. In fact, the death-defying missions of Ethan Hunt (portrayed by Tom Cruise) were actually scheduled to be shown on the silver screen in December 2014. Then there were reports saying that 'Mission Impossible 5' had to re-shoot its ending, perhaps because it was thought to be "unsatisfactory" and, therefore, unfit for release.

These rumors also claimed that the ending of the movie was not complete and a new writer, who was not named and unpaid, had to intervene with a view to save the movie as well as the entire franchise. Meanwhile, McQuarrie had refuted the speculations, though it is true that the filming of 'Mission Impossible 5,' an action spy film, did not go according to plans.

During a 30-minute Q&A session the director held on Twitter, McQuarrie explained the re-shooting issue and claimed that they only prepped up the movie. At the same time, the director revealed that a trailer for 'Mission Impossible 5' will be released soon. However, McQuarrie did not give a specific date regarding the release of the trailer.

Meanwhile, fans will be seeing Tom Cruise reprise his role as the highly-skilled secret agent Ethan Hunt for the fifth time. The remaining cast members include old faces like Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, and Ving Rhames. 'Mission Impossible 5' will also feature some new faces, such as Sean Harris, Rebecca Ferguson, Alec Baldwin, Simon McBurney and Zhang Jingchu.

'Mission Impossible 5' is scheduled to premiere on July 31.
