Miss Universe 2016 News: Pia Wurtzbach, Doctor Mike Dating; Miss Puerto Rico Reveals Her Hate For Cameras, Loses Crown?

Dr. Mikhail Varshavski, who is also known as Dr. Mike and the "Sexiest Doctor Alive," has admitted that he was the boyfriend to Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach. Also, Miss Puerto Rico has lost her crown after she revealed that she hated cameras.

According to Yahoo, Dr. Mike has recently revealed that he was the boyfriend to the most beautiful woman in the universe. As per the publication, the Sexiest Doctor Alive had confirmed with Wonderwall that he was dating the Miss Universe and that their relationship was in its early stage.

In a statement, Dr. Mike said that she was dating Wirtzbach and it was a fairly new relationship, adding that he was really excited to see where it could go.

Dr. Mike's revelation was reportedly opposite to Wurtzbach's previous stand with regard their relationship during a live Facebook chat with fans. She mentioned that there was no "specific someone" in her life. On Mar. 15, however, the Miss Universe's answer changed. During a Q&A on "Extra," when she was asked about the real scope between she and Dr. Mike, she said "In the right time. Hahaha."

The romance between Wurtzbach and Dr. Mike began after the two took turns posting photos of each other together on their social media accounts.

In other news, Miss Puerto Rico Kristhielee Caride has been stripped of the crown that could potentially have brought her to the Miss Universe 2016 title. This followed her revelation that she disliked cameras.

Puerto Rico franchise Desiree Lowry stated her thoughts about Caride's reveal. In a conference (via CNN) Lowry said that when she was listening to Miss Puerto Rico and the latter said that she did not like the camera, she that that it was a huge problem. According to Lowry, Miss Puerto Rico was a public figure and part of the job was to be in front of the camera.

Caride is not the first Puerto Rican to lose the crown, according to Christian Post. As per the publication, Miss Puerto Rico 1994 Brenda Robles had been disqualified during the competition after the discovery that she had been pregnant. The publication noted that Caride is the first contestant to say goodbye prior to the start of the competition.

Brenda Jimenez is set to take over the crown and represent Puerto Rico for Miss Universe 2016.
