Miss Universe 2015 Winner Latest News: Miss Colombia Talks Injustice Following Removal Of Crown In The Pageant

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach is grieving for the death of open of her closest friend while Miss Colombia reveals that removing her crown was unjust and unfair.

On Jan. 3, Wurtzbach took to Instagram a photo of theater actor, celebrity fashion stylist, and her beloved friend, Gello Conferido. In caption, the new Miss Universe wrote, "I will miss you.. We love you, @gelloconferido. I love you! Rest now, you're with Him. I'm just so sad I won't get to see you when I come home."

In the same caption, Wurtzbach revealed that being Miss Universe was her and her friend's aspiration, as per GMA Network. She wrote, "This was our dream. Why, I keep asking myself why. But you were so strong and we should be strong too." Wurtzbach added that they loved him and many people loved him.

In other news, Miss Universe 2015 first runner-up MissColombia, Adriana Gutierrez, reacted to the announcement mistake that happened in the Miss Universe pageant held in Las Vegas in December 2015.

In her interview with Colombia's W Radio, Gutierrez sad that it was a great injustice to remove her crown during the live event. She said that there were a thousand ways to do things. Miss Colombia 2015 explained that people could have done it the next day in a press conference or a press release. She added that they had not done things the right way.

According to Gutierrez, she had been disconnected and had not received phone calls from almost anyone. She added that very few people had communicated with her, citing that she had had to grieve for what had happened.

Miss Columbia also said that it had been very hard for her and it had been a great shock, since it was a dream she had fought for. For Gutierrez, she had always dreamed of being Miss Universe and it had been very humiliating for her.

According to International Business Times, Gutierrez also suggested that the Miss Universe 2015 organizers could have accepted two Miss Universes and that she had not been being "selfish" in saying so.

In line with the announcement mistake, the Miss Universe 2015 Organization had not made any apology or press statements.

However, Miss Universe 2015 host Steve Harvey wrote on Twitter his apology to both Miss Colombia and Miss Philippines after the pageant. He tweeted that he would like to apologize wholeheartedly to the beauty queens for his huge mistake and he felt terrible.
