‘Minority Report’ TV Series Cast News: Meagan Good Confirmed to Star as Lead Female Role, Says FOX

Fans of Steven Spielberg's highly acclaimed sci-fi film 'Minority Report' will be delighted to know that its TV adaptation finally is taking shape. In fact, Fox has just announced the names of some actors and actresses who will be joining the cast of the upcoming series.

According to Christian Post, the first name announced was that of actress Laura Regan, who has been signed on to portray the character of Agatha, the good-nature precog with the ability to see the future. In fact, Regan is well-liked for playing the role of Jennifer on 'Mad Men.'

On the other hand, Stark Sands, who featured in 'Inside Llewyn Davis', will portray the characters of Agatha's identical twin brothers Dash and Arthur.

Originally, Agatha's role was portrayed by Samantha Morton, while Matthew Dickman portrayed the characters Arthur and Dash both, in the Spielberg movie.

Meagan Good, who stars in 'Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues,' has been signed on to play the lead female role in the upcoming TV series. Good will portray the character Lara Vega, a simple detective who gets involved with Dash. According to the spoilers of the upcoming show, viewers may see a lot of things going on between Lara and Dash in the series. Dash is eager to put behind all his precog duties and lead the life of a normal human being and he may seek Lara's help to discover his real purpose in life.

Li Jun Li will also join Regan, Sands, and Good in the series. Li will portray the character of a CSI technician in the TV adaptation of the movie. They will work with Daniel London, who will join the cast to reprise his role as Wally the Caretaker, a character from the original movie released in 2002.

According to Slash Film, the TV adaptation of 'Minority Report' will show the events that occur a decade after the end of the original movie. Mark Mylod, who directed 'Shameless,' will direct the pilot episode scripted by Max Borenstein, who also wrote the script of 'Godzilla.'

On that note, the official release date of the pilot episode has yet to be announced.
