‘Minecraft’ DLC News: Game Update Arriving October 4

Mojang's "Minecraft" is set to have a large and free update, plus a premium Chinese Mythology Mash-Up pack in October, the studio announced last weekend.

According to Polygon, the game's update is set to be available on Oct. 4 and it includes seven new building blocks, along with banners, polar bears in snowy biomes, new terrain generation features, new plants, and beetroots, which can be made into a soup with health benefits.

Mojang also released a trailer for "Minecraft's" Chinese Mythology Mash-Up Pack. It opens with a man on a horse and features various structures of the Chinese empire, such as temples, landscape, the red dragon, and a panda. The trailer also showcases the village, the market, and some shrines, along with Buddha.

Overall, the trailer showcases details players can expect from the game's update and they are assumed to provide new flavor to the game.

As per the game's official description, as cited by Game Spot, players can explore the streets of an ancient great city and marvel at the dragons that thrive around the high mountains. Also, the can contemplate on their crafting within a mythical monastery and enjoy the view as they walk through fields and discover how mobs would look in ancient China.

Meanwhile, Microsoft also revealed that "Minecraft's" Boss update is set to arrive in "Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition," "Minecraft: Pocket Edition," and "Minecraft: Gear VR Edition" on Oct. 18.
