Mindy Kaling News: Actress Says All Actors are Lying About Intimate On Screen Scenes
Actress Mindy Kaling recently decided to come clean about "the world's best job perk" in an excerpt that was obtained by The Washington Post from her book 'Why Not Me?' due out in September.
In this, the actress is quoted saying that Hollywood actors are lying about not enjoying sex scenes. She states that they are actually fun to film.
"Obviously onscreen sex is [not actual sex], but, as any religious high schooler will tell you, simulating sex can be pretty damn enjoyable as well," she writes. "To that I say: the more, the merrier! Most of those people are artists whose job it is to make sure your physical imperfections are cloaked in mysterious shadows. By the end of the shooting day, you'll wish there were more people there."
She goes on to explain why she thinks most people in the biz lie about it and how it could potentially wind them up in some trouble.
"If you are the unlucky spouse of an actor, the last thing you want to hear is that, in addition to him getting to fake-cheat on you by virtue of the most unfair loophole of all time, he also really enjoyed it," Kaling writes.
In a previous interview with Time Magazine, the actress details a sex scene shared between actor Chris Messina.
"Chris Messina is the most in-touch-with-his-body person of all time, and all he does is make you feel beautiful and confident," she said. "I've known him now for quite some time and we're so comfortable with each other that I wasn't self-conscious at all. I wish on every actress that they get to shoot a sex scene with Chris Messina, because it's great fun."
