'Millionaire Matchmaker' News: Patti Stanger Leaves After Season 8
Patti Stanger, the love guru, announced that she will no longer be working on Millionaire Matchmaker.
Stanger announced her departure from the Bravo television show through a tweet on Friday. In the tweet, she also asked her fans to "stay tuned" for another upcoming announcement, as she plans to move on to a "wonderful new network."
"After 8 season I've decided to leave @Bravotv Thank u 4 the great ride. Stay tuned for exciting news as I move to a wonderful new network!"
In an official statement, a spokesperson for Bravo discussed the network's view of Stanger's decision.
"We loved watching Patti Stanger find love for so many people over the last eight seasons on Bravo," said the network's spokesperson. "We wish her the best with her new endeavors."
Besides her matchmaking job on Bravo, Stanger is currently the hose of a podcast called, "The Love and Sex Report."
She also started a line of wines called P.S. Match and is the brand ambassador for a line of waxing products.
The eighth and final season of Millionaire Matchmaker wrapped on March 29th, 2015.
"People can't get enough of 'love television," said Stanger in a statement to Variety at WE TV's "The Evolution of Relationship Reality Shows" panel in March.
The reality television star and love guru also discussed the future of romance based programming, and the trends of dating sites.
"We love these crazy trainwrecks. I think you're going to see more counterculture stuff, where you get into a subset of a religion or group -- swingers, singles, whatever -- and you're going to watch different types."
