'Midnight Sun' Cast News: Patrick Schwarzenegger Joins Bella Thorne for Upcoming Movie
Patrick Schwarzenegger seems to be taking after his father, as he has recently been cast in the upcoming film, Midnight Sun, starring alongside actress Bella Thorne.
The film is based on a 2006 Japanese movie, and does not have a release date as yet.
However, it has been confirmed that it Schwarzenegger and Thorne will be romantic interests and the lead male and female characters, respectively.
In Midnight Sun, Thorne will play Katie, a seventeen year old girl who has lived in a shelter since she was a child, and suffers from a rare disease which causes her to have a fatal reaction to any form of sunlight.
Schwarzenegger will play Charlie, who Katie meets and falls for as the two take on an adventure. Shooting for the film is set to begin in September.
The role is quite a big deal of Schwarzenegger, who has not had many large acting credits as yet, having played small parts in Grown Ups 2 and Stuck in Love, among other films.
In fact, Schwarzenegger is most well known for several things that have nothing to do with his ability as an actor.
He was first known by way of his father, the former governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, who once starred in several films including Terminator.
He then became known as a playboy after entering a highly publicized relationship with Miley Cyrus, which ended in a just as widely known break up.
Without a doubt, Schwarzenegger is happy to get a foot in the door of the movie making business, making a name for himself based on his own talents, and eventually developing his own fan and support base.
