Microsoft Xbox One 1TB Release Date News: New Controller With Optional Camouflage Launches in June
Microsoft has announced that they will be releasing a new Xbox One with twice the storage. The item was previously leaked on Amazon, and will launch on June 16th with a new controller and a free copy of Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
The new addition has a matte finish, which is a step away from the launch version's glossy black color which is prone to collecting dust and fingerprints.
The new controller can be obtained in camouflage when it is purchased separately.
It features a standard 3.5 mm audio port, so players can use their own headphones, but they must use the settings menu in order to adjust the volume and mute.
Before, users had to buy the $24.99 headset adapter, which had the added advantage of volume controls which were attached to the controller.
However, those people who have already bought the adapter will still be able to use it, as it is compatible with the new controller.
The controller has more refined bumper buttons on the top, along with a higher audio volume output and wireless software updates.
Previously, players had to plug the controller into the console in order to update the firmware.
Players who want to use the same controller wirelessly with their Windows 10 PC can buy a $24.99 USB adapter, or even buy an adapter and controller bundle for $79.95.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection is an Xbox One game that combines Halo 3 and Halo 4, which appeared on the Xbox 360.
It also has Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2. The package will be launched alongside the console for a limited period of time.
