Microsoft Xbox Live 2015 Sale: 'BioShock Infinite' Discounted for Xbox 360
Microsoft has recently launched its Countdown to 2015 sales promotion on the Xbox Live marketplace, which offers bargain barrel rates for renowned games. This week, 'BioShock Infinite' has been highlighted at the discount price of $4.49.
The game has been reviewed with a score of 93 out of 100 by 33 critics on Metacritic. It also received a generally favorable rating with 8.5 out of 10 based on 1470 ratings.
On the other hand, the studio who developed the game, Irrational Games, has been taken down in February this year. All but about 15 members of Irrational team have separated after the completion of the final downloadable content for the 'BioShock Infinite'.
The studio head Ken Levine, however, has joined Take-Two, a studio that focuses on "replayable narrative-driven games," Levine has mentioned that 'BioShock Infinite' won't benefit from becoming a narrative-driven game.
"If they could change something in BioShock Infinite, the story would break," Levine stated in a piece for Medium.
Meanwhile, Xbox Live has also featured discounts on certain in-demand Xbox 360 games. The list includes, some of installments from the 'Resident Evil' series, 'Battlefield 4 Premium', 'Transformers: Fall of Cybertron', 'Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark', 'Tomb Raider', 'Dungeons and Dragons Daggerdale', 'Dungeons and Dragons Chronicles of Mystara', 'Halo: Spartan Assault', and 'Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes'. The complete list of games for Xbox 360 and Xbox One has been made available on Major Nelson's blog.
'BioShock Infinite' will be available with its $5 discount until Dec. 22. The promo, however, is only released for Xbox Live Gold members only. Lastly, the price may also vary on different regions.
