Microsoft Windows 10 News: Free Technical Preview Released, New Build Features Cortana & Xbox One Streaming

Two days later, the Redmond-headquartered tech firm released the free download of the latest operating system for the members of its Insider Program.

IB Times quotes Microsoft saying that the company will be offering a free upgrade to Windows 10 for people still using Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1. At the Windows 10 Technical Preview launch event in Redmond, Washington, on Wednesday, the Redmond, the company made an official announcement that finally Cortana - voice-controlled digital assistant, was coming to desktops. Initially, it debuted on Windows Phone.

The latest build also incorporates the new Xbox app for Windows 10 and will allow streaming games from Xbox One to PCs.
