Microsoft Windows 10 Mobile Phone Release Date Delayed Again?

Users of Microsoft mobile phones will be disappointed yet again after the tech company told them that they will have to wait until the first quarter of next year for their most awaited upgrade to come.

The upgrade to Windows 10 Mobile for Windows Phone 8 and 8.1 smartphones will sadly be delayed again. According to FonePaw, people will just have to wait until early 2016 with no specific date given. What's even more disappointing is, there is no information on which smartphones will the upgrade be compatible with.

"This November we introduced Windows 10 to phones including brand new features such as Continuum and Universal Windows Apps with the introduction of the Lumia 950 and 950 XL. The Windows 10 Mobile upgrade will begin rolling out early next year to select existing Windows 8 and 8.1 phones," according to a Microsoft spokesperson (via FonePaw).

Microsoft has failed to meet their own deadline a couple of times now. Last October, they said that there will be a delay until December, this time, in 2016. They seem to have played it safe by not giving out another "exact" date but nevertheless, it still sucks.

It's not like this has not happened before in the tech industry. Steve Job's "Apple" always had delays when it came to the release of their "Macintosh" way way back.

This could have a damaging effect on their sales though. Why would anyone want to buy their phones knowing that the operating system is outdated and the update will not be until the next month (at least)?
