Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Release Date, Specs, Price: Rechargeable Stylus Pen Alone Worth The Price?
The news update on the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 reveals the Stylus Pen, which is now rechargeable. That alone is worth the price of admission.
According to the report from TechRadar, the Stylus Pen will come bundled with the Microsoft Surface Pro 5, which is good news to consumes who won't have to shell out more money in order to purchase an accessory.
It noted the patent filing from Microsoft in January this year, which showed a pen that can be recharged over and over again. Owners can stuff triple A batteries into the device, which can also be charged using the dock.
This is the edge of the iPad Pro over the current Surface Pro, which is the ability to charge the Apple Pencil by connecting to the device through the Lighting port.
However, there's no confirmation that the new rechargeable pen will be unveiled along with the Microsoft Surface Pro 5, so this bit of news should be regarded as speculation for now.
Meanwhile, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is reported to be getting the Kaby Lake processor from Intel, which is supposed to be more efficient and faster compared to its predecessor, the Skylake. Aside from that, there are rumors that it's going to feature the Windows 10 Redstone 2 update.
One of the better news to come out of the woodworks is that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 would come with bigger battery life, which was one of the chief complaints for the Surface Pro 4. As to the price, it's reported to cost at least $900 for the entry level when the release date is announced early next year.
