While it appears that Microsoft is determined to discontinue the Surface RT tablets, consumers who are interesting in purchasing the product my avail it at at Microsoft retail stores as well as online shops, provided they do not waste much time.

As far as the performance of Microsoft's flagship slate is concerned, the Surface Pro 3 has been able to beat other tablets as the offerings from the Redmond-based tech giant incorporate Intel's "Core I" series of processors.
Meanwhile, Microsoft is said to be coming up with the latest tablet in the Surface Pro lineup - the Surface Pro 4, alongside a number of other tablets, which are likely to feature powerful octa-core processors, in addition to the latest Windows 10 operating system.
