With Microsoft already sending out invites for a press event on the opening day of the Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona on March 2, expectations are high that the Redmond-based tech titan will unveil the much awaited Microsoft Lumia 1330 on the occasion.

According to Christian Today, although Microsoft is unlikely to announce any premium device at the event on March 2, it may possibly introduce a number of medium-range products with a view to increase its presence in this segment of smartphone market. In fact, the Lumia 1330 is a low-end tablet-smartphone hybrid.

Nevertheless, it is expected that the upcoming Microsoft Lumia 1330 will pack impressive specs. It is likely to come with a 5.7-inch screen display rendering 720 x 1280 pixel resolutions; be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 based quad-core SoC; and run on Windows Phone 8.1 OS. The other expected specs of the device include 1 GB of RAM, a 14-megapixel rear camera with Carl Zeiss optics as well as a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Microsoft Lumia 1330 is also likely to have a longer battery life compared to the previous editions in the product lineup.

According to speculations, the Lumia 1330 will possibly run with Windows 10, which Microsoft launched last year. At present, the operating system is in the works and is expected to be rolled out officially later this year. The ability of the purported Windows 10 to work seamlessly on desktops and smartphones alike is a key feature of the operating system.

In fact, the Lumia 1330 will be the first phablet from Microsoft after it took over Nokia from the Finnish smartphone manufacturer. It is conjectured that the phablet, like the original handsets made by Nokia, will come in a number of - a feature for which Nokia is well-known. 

Ever since Microsoft acquired Nokia, the tech titan has been releasing devices with great specs and features, but having a low price range. This makes fans and experts believe the Lumia 1330, which sports lower grade specs, will have an affordable price tag.
