Michael W. Smith To Release New Live Worship Album 'Surrounded' On Feb. 23
Within just a week following the release of his new studio album A Million Lights on Feb. 16, Michael W. Smith is planning to release his latest live worship album Surrounded on Feb. 23.
With Surrounded, Smith aims to, "unify the Church's diverse expressions into one passionate, joyful cry of worship." The album was recorded in an intimate worship set at The Factory in Franklin, Tenn., on Nov. 2 last year.
Speaking about the purpose behind his new album, Smith says, "I feel God moving through His Church and He is calling us together to be one voice and one heart. One bride. Every nation, every tribe and every tongue. Every social class, every denomination."
He adds, "What if we bring Him the thing that pleases Him most-our unity. We may each have different stories, and skin, and songs, but we all share His same Spirit."
The new live worship album features 12 tracks, including "Surrounded (Fight My Battles)" which released just before the New Year on Dec. 29, 2017, and also became the first video from the recording, available to view at Michael W. Smith's Facebook page and official website.
