Michael W. Smith Releases 'All Arise' Live Music Video off 'Sovereign'; Compares Worship to Showing Respect [WATCH]
Legendary Christian contemporary artist Michael W. Smith released a live music video of his song "All Arise" this week, which is off of his album Sovereign.
Smitty released the video along with a devotion on his Facebook page. "If you've ever been in a courtroom, or watched any of the dramas on television, you know that when a judge is about to enter the room the bailiff will say, 'All rise, the Honorable Judge (name) presiding'" he wrote. "It is protocol that we rise at the announcement of the judge's name, or when a King or President or other "important person" enters a room, to show respect for that person and their authority."
The singer also said that same respect and sense is felt in worship except more powerful. The worship leader is the bailiff calling the congregation to get up and worship in the presence of God.
The inspiration comes from the Psalm 33:8 scripture that reads, "Let the whole world fear the Lord, and let everyone stand in awe of him."
