Michael Milton 'When Heaven Come Down' Album Review
Multi-talented pastor and musician, Michael A. Milton, prepares to release his very first Christmas album, "When Heaven Came Down." During the creation of this album, Michael set out to create an album that brought forth a sense of peace, serenity, and brings in the Christmas spirit. Even though this is his first Christmas album, Michael Milton is no stranger to Christian music having released three albums prior to this endeavor including the album, "The Open Door," for which he received much praise.
Starting from the first track, Michael Milton's creativity shows in "The Gift of Incarnation," telling the story of God becoming man infused with Celtic inspiration. The song is short and energetic beginning the musically story of Jesus.
The pace of the album quickly changes with, "When Christ Was Born" to a soft piano ballad. Michael Milton discusses the fulfilled prophecy of Christ's birth and the humble setting that Jesus Christ was born into.
Even though the majority of the album has a soft sound to it, Michael Milton experiments with a mixture of genres like "It's Christmastime Again" which brings forth a country ballad feel. "Angels and Oxen" shows an acoustic side with unique lyrics as well as musical arrangement.

It's refreshing to see a Christmas album that is completely original lyrically and musically. Lots of Christmas albums reuse the traditional hymns that we know and love; however even though the artists vary, the music still seems lack luster and loses its conviction. Michael A. Milton on the other hand made sure to bring forth a fresh and inspired set of songs that show his passion and joyfulness to the coming of the Lord. Those looking for a different sound to Christmas music, this is the album for you. The album releases October 23 and 100% of the proceeds go to supporting scholarships at Reformed Theological Seminary.
