The Miami Heat will clash with the Los Angeles Lakers on January 13 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

The Lakers (12-26) are looking to halt a potential two game losing streak when they clash with the Heat at the Staples Center.

Previously, Los Angeles lost to the Portland Trail Blazers by a final score of 106-94 on January 11 after Lakers power forward Carlos Boozer had 13 points and 9 rebounds in the loss.

"It was pretty much the same things I saw the last game against them," said Lakers coach Byron Scott to reporters.

"We played them really tough, and then Damien kind of takes over. We tried to pressure him, we tried to trap him at times, but he just made some great shots. He's just a heck of a player."

Meanwhile, the Heat (16-21) will try to lengthen their winning streak to two games when they battle the Lakers on Tuesday night.

Previously, Miami defeated the Los Angeles Clippers by a score of 104-90 on Sunday afternoon after Heat center Chris Bosh totaled 34 points and 7 rebounds in order to propel his team to the home victory.

"I was also scanning the court to see if I can find my guys open shots," said Bosh's longtime teammate Dwyane Wade to reporters after finishing the game with 17 points and 10 assists.

"We were able to get the shots we wanted, not turn the ball over and that made us focus more on defense."
