Miami Heat NBA 2015 Trade News: Chris Andersen Up on the Chopping Block?

The farther we get into the season, the more we hear about NBA Trades. Rumors about who could get traded are coming from every which way, but the Miami Heat might be in a unique situation in that regard.

At this point, the Miami Heat aren't projected to be going anywhere this season. Their main men Bosh and Wade are staying with them for a while, and Chris Andersen seems to be the best candidate for a trade.

"The Miami Heat are just 15-20 this season, good enough for third place in the Southeast division. The reality is the Heat aren't going anywhere this season. Obviously, Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade are staying put, but the Heat can value by trading away Chris 'Birdman' Andersen. Andersen is an average player who can grab rebounds, hit free throws and has championship experience. He may be 36 years old, but Andersen has had a lot of great playoff moments in his career and can help a team with interior play in the future," writes the Latin Post.

It's all about who they can afford to trade, or who they feel they can afford. They aren't promised any star players like Lebron James as they once were. The team must stick to their strengths.

In more recent news, the Heat have released guard Andre Dawkins ahead of Wednesday's deadline.

Fox Sports reports, "Dawkins signed with the Heat on Sept. 23 and made the opening day roster. He totaled three points, two rebounds and an assist in 22 minutes in four games."

"Though he wasn't able to play consistent minutes in Miami, he played well for the Sioux Falls Skyforce after being assigned to the Heat's D-League affiliate in early December. In one memorable game against the Texas Legends on Dec. 20, he scored 42 points on 12-of-15 shooting from beyond the arc to set a team record," they added.
