Miami Dolphins NFL 2015 Trade News, Rumors: Miami Almost Picks Up Tight End Jimmy Graham

Tight end Jimmy Graham, who had played for the New Orleans Saints, was almost traded to the Miami Dolphins during the free agency NFL trade this week, according to many reports.

Instead, Graham became a member of the Seattle Seahawks. "Interested to learn the #Dolphins finished 2nd to the #Seahawks in the Jimmy Graham trade. MIA was aggressive in trying to upgrade at TE," Ian Rapoport tweeted late Tuesday from the NFL's owners meetings in Phoenix.

Instead of Graham, the Dolphins landed Jordan Cameron. According to Palm Beach Report, "Graham had 85 receptions for 889 yards and 10 touchdowns last season. Cameron had 24 catches for 424 yards and two TDs for Cleveland in 2014 but had 80 receptions for 917 yards and seven TDs in 2013."

The newfound aggressiveness from the Dolphins comes as a shock to many. However, the team has said in the past that they are looking to add more players to the squad. If the team had it their way, then Cameron would have ended up with the Seahawks instead of the Dolphins.

The Seahawks are eager to work with Graham as they have been looking for a way to help their offense, which reportedly has been slacking recently.

The Dolphins also had a bit of a shock when they lost Charles Clay in free agency this year as well. The Buffalo Bills ended up with Clay for $38 million.

On a side note, Graham, before becoming an NFL star played for the University of Miami.

Cameron should be a good fit for the Dolphins, even though they wanted Graham more. Beyond all that, the Dolphins will continue their pursuit for new team members as the free agency NFL draft continues.
