‘Metal Gear Survive' News: Richard Jones Talks Storyline And Co-op, Stealth [TRAILER]

Konami has released the latest trailer for "Metal Gear Survive" and it features dynamic encounters between humans and their arch-nemeses.

The trailer opens with a blast, a fight between humans and aliens. While some soldiers stay on the ground to fight in the battle, the injured ones are led to a helicopter for safety. Further sequences seethe sky getting man-made scraps, which are metal made, as well as a one-on-one fight between a hero and a villain. The trailer confirmed that aside from guns, players will be able to utilize a bow and arrow as a weapon against the enemies.

While showing scenes featuring humans killing the villains, the trailer also tells fans that humans have to fight together or die alone. The clip concluded with a quake coming from giant footsteps coming from a giant creature. While the said colossal being is not shown, it is assumed that it is set to be the largest threat to the game characters.

In a statement, as cited by Eurogamer, Konami brand manager Richard Jones revealed his thoughts about the title., he said that the title was set following the events of "Ground Zeroes," adding that the Mother Base that had been built up during the Peacewalker storyline got sabotaged and destroyed, leaving soldiers in a desert landscape.

According to Jones, co-op was only one of the game's mechanics, adding that "Metal Gear" was iconic for its stealth, which primarily makes it "Meatal Gear." For Jones, the had formed a gameplay that allowed and enhanced stealth and they were not going into a lot of depth, but they would in the future.

"Metal Gear Survive" is the first full "Metal Gear" title following the departure of series creator Hideo Kojima. More details on the game are yet to be revealed.

Konami's "Metal Gear Survive" is set to be released for the PlayStation 4 in 2017.
