'Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain' New Trailer News: Stealth, Combat Systems; Gameplay Changes [VIDEO]

Recently, Japanese video game developer and publisher Konami released 40-minute extensive gameplay footage of its next action-adventure stealth video game 'Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.' The trailer displays the expansive milieu of the upcoming game where the majority of the actions occur.

According to a report in Christian Post, it is difficult to go unnoticed by enemies in such a sprawling area, as they seem to come up from all over. Only watching the gameplay clip, some people are certain that the new title is entirely different from the franchise and also serves like "Ground Zeroes."

Hideo Kojima, the game creator and designer who worked together with Konami for 'The Phantom Pain,' has already advised fans not to come to any conclusion just on the basis of the initial teasers. He suggested that they should instead wait for and play the real game that is loaded with a novel stealth and combat style, as well as the dynamic weather in a complete day-night cycle.

The upcoming game features another novel thing - micro-transactions. In fact, Konami has already explained how this feature will play out and influence the game that has been "carefully balanced to be fair and enjoyable with or without using these options."

Gamingbolt reports that Konami clarified, "There's no pay to win option. Rest assured that every single item, weapon and mission in the game is available to all players without paying a single cent."

The developer further added, "However, due to the sheer scale of the game and the time required to explore it all, micro-transactions were added as a completely optional feature for players who might not be able to spend as much time with the game, nothing more, nothing less."

Meanwhile, this will probably be the last time that Kojima will work on the popular franchise, making this open-world game the last in its lineup. However, this may change if Konami decides to give it another go. However, as of now, the game serves as the series finale.

'Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain' will be released for the PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360 on Sept. 1.
