‘Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain' Release Date News, Rumors: Delays in Production to Push Back Launch?

The up and coming action-packed adventure/stealth video game, "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain', is expected to release in November, 2015.

Rumors suggest that the release date is subject to change because the producers behind the game have talked about delays. Specifically, the game has been delayed due to technical incompleteness and other issues.

Konami Exec Tora Shiro, talking to NeoGaf about the delay, said, "Not being able to announce a release date is just as annoying on our side. HQ gonna HQ a little longer,"

The forum is filled with questions from enthusiastic players and everyone wants to the D-Day. When one forum user asked him about the release date, Shiro replied, "I know more than I'm supposed to."

He added, "I know, doing my job also requires having things to talk about, we're just spinning gear as best we can right now," according to Crossmap.

Speaking about the disappointed players, Shiro said, "To be fair, it's no longer waiting on people, it's more like just coming to an agreement on the details. We operate on a global scale, you know."

In other news, the producers reported the earnings for the nine-month period ended December 31, and, among other things, the company stated that sales of the PC version of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes were "solid."

Konami's video game division, called Digital Entertainment, saw a total revenue decrease slightly, coming in at around $580 million from the three-quarter period, according to GameSpot.

According to various sources, the game is said to be in its final phases of development. Konami is said to be adjusting the game for final settings and final debugging.

"Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain' is surely set to release sometime this year for the PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
