Memphis Grizzlies vs Portland Trail Blazers Game 4 Preview, Live Stream Link: How to Watch NBA Game Online
Everyone knew the Portland Trail Blazers would have a tough task ahead in the playoffs with their lineup being decimated by injuries to key players, what no one really foresaw was how much their two stars would have shooting the ball.
LaMarcus Aldridge and Damian Lillard were looked upon to carry a limping Blazers team, but they've failed to do so going into Game 3, and is a big reason they're down 0-2. Aldridge has managed to get his numbers, scoring 32 and 24 points in the first two games. He has however only been 20-54 from the field, which included his 13-34 struggle in Game 1.
Lillard has been less productive with his 10-37 shooting in the series, while averaging below his regular season numbers at 16 points per. As Basketball Insiders points out, the struggles don't end there, as the Blazers backcourt has been even less productive. In Game 2, Lillard, C.J. McCollum, Steve Blake, and Allen Crabbe played a combined 101 minutes. In those minutes, they managed just 27 points, two assists, and seven rebounds, while going just 9-31 from the field.
They should get a boost from their always-rowdy home crowd in Game 3, along with the possible return of Aaron Afflalo, who insists he will be back from a shoulder strain. That may not be enough, though, as the Grizzlies have been on point so far.
The biggest concern coming into the playoffs for the Grizz was the status of point guard Mike Conley, who has been battling plantar fasciitis. He's looked good so far, outplaying his All-Star counterpart in both games, norming 17 points per game in the two contests. He's been efficient and has been the steadying force Memphis needs him to be if they are going to go deep in the playoffs.
The Memphis backcourt of Courtney Lee, Beno Udrih, and Vince Carter have also surprisingly played better than anyone expected. Should they keep their production going on the road, they could go for a sweep in the series.
Game 3 tips off on Saturday at 10:30 pm ET, you can catch the action via live stream here.
