Recently, Memphis Grizzlies attained Boston Celtics forward Jeff Green and New Orleans Pelicans guard Russ Smith in a three-team trade.

In return, Memphis traded forward Tayshaun Prince and guard Quincy Pondexter to Boston and New Orleans respectively. Guard Austin Rivers was given off to Boston as well. Memphis will also receive a "traded player exception."

In this season with Boston, Green has gained a total of 17.6 points with 4.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists in just 33.1 minutes for a total of 33 games. In a matter of three years from 2004 to 2007, Green attained 13.1 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 33.2 minutes for 102 games.

In 2007, he was hailed as the Most Outstanding Player of the NCAA. Aside from that award, he became the Big East Player of the Year and Big East Tournament MVP on the same year. Green receives a whopping $9.2 million for this season, Yahoo Sports reported.

As for Smith, he scored 14.3 points with 2.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists within 24.3 minutes in 133 games during his four-year career at the University of Louisville. The former Boston guard led the Cardinals to the 2013 NCAA Championship with an average of 18.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.08 steals within 30.3 minutes, according to Rappler.

Former Memphis forward Prince scored 7.3 points in 26 games added with 3.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists within 24.3 minutes. When he was with Piston and Grizzlies, Prince averaged 11.9 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in just 32.3 minutes for a total of 908 games.

For this season, Pondexter scored 4.5 points with 1.9 rebounds and 0.9 assists in a matter of 18.0 minutes for a total of 30 games. When he played for New Orleans Hornets and Grizzlies, Pondexter averaged 4.5 points, 1.8 rebounds and 0.7 assists in a total of 234 games.

The new Memphis players and the rest of the team members will play against Dallas Mavericks at 4 pm on January 19.
