Melissa Rivers News: TV Personality Denies Receiving $100 Million Inheritance from Joan Rivers' Estate
As the famous comedian and host Joan Rivers was laid to rest last September 4, 2014, speculations have been rising about how much Joan's daughter will get as she is the only daughter and only heir to her mother's estate. Melissa Rivers just clarified that it is not $100 Million that everybody is claiming she received.
According to Melissa, reports claiming she received a whopping $100 Million dollars from Joan's estate are totally false. She announced the news at her recent interview with Wendy Williams at the Wendy Williams show last Tuesday morning.
Apparently, everywhere she went, Melissa have been reading news that she received a lump sum of money from her mother's estate, which she set straight at her interview with Williams. When Williams noticed Melissa's earrings saying, "You're on a big choking diamonds trend," Williams joked adding, "Now that you have $100 million."
And Melissa responded denying the rumors. "Which I do not have, by the way!" she announced. "That was a giant exaggeration to the point where I read it so many places, I picked up my phone and called my business manager."
Melissa had some humour on her, which of course she got from her mom in telling the conversation she had with her business manager. "I said, 'Do I have $100 million?' He was like, 'No.' I said, 'Maybe you forgot to tell me.' He said, 'No, I didn't forget to tell you, you don't have it.'"
With that all clarified for everybody concerned especially those claiming otherwise, Melissa announces that she is just busy being a mother to her son Cooper and is working out the new 'Fashion Police' which premieres once again this September.
"We just started discussions," Melissa adding that the panel list hasn't been finalized. "I don't know who it's going to be." But of course she and the other show's executives are apparently working it out as the 2015 Emmys will be happening soon.
"But right now-I mean, for all we know every name under the sun has been thrown onto the list. We're slowly starting to figure out what would work," Melissa continued. Joan Rivers was the former main host of the fashionable show.
