‘McNativity' Window Photo Goes Viral, Inspires Many
On December 14, Amy Basel, a woman who owns a Bible and teaching nonprofit, drove by her favorite McDonald's Fastfood Restaurant and was inspired by the "McDonald's"-themed Nativity that she saw on the window.
Filled with joy, she took a picture of it and posted it on her Facebook page. A few days have passed and now the photo has been shared for more than 82,000 times, have been commented on for more than 9,000 times and have received over 134,000 likes.
In an era where society is discouraged to show signs and images of Jesus Christ because Christianity is not the majority group anymore, the painting in the window assisted by this simple photo inspires almost everyone who loves Jesus Christ and his teachings to take a step forward an stand up for what they believe in.
According to The Tennessean, The establishment owners are Gina and Tony Wolfe. They said that they have been doing it for more than 40 years now.
"As independent business owners, for many years, we have had the windows at our restaurants painted with similar messages," the Wolfes said. "This is a tradition that my father started 40 years ago. We are surprised and happy that our windows have garnered attention across the country and are proud to be a part of this community," they added.
As for Basel, she has a strong faith in Christ and will do everything for His glory.
"I just want God to be glorified. He's the one who wanted this to go to viral," she said.
