'Maze Runner 2', also known as 'The Scorch Trials"' will showcase some of the previous cast returning, including Kaya Scodelario as Teresa, Dylan O'Brien as Thomas and Thomas Brodie-Sangster as Newt. The reason why this upcoming film is so anticipated is because it brings back some very renowned cast members from the first installment.

As of yet, we know Aiden Gillen of 'Game of Thrones' fame will be joining the show. He will be playing the role of Rat-Man, Jansen. Additional, 'Breaking Bad' (one of the top-rated series) star Giancarlo Esposito, will also be joining the production.

According to Cinema Blend, "It's no secret that in Hollywood all success is followed by developments of a sequel, as young-adult adaptation 'The Maze Runner' is the latest feature to fall into that pattern. The movie made big money in its first three days of release this weekend, and now 20th Century Fox is celebrating that win with an announcement of a 'Maze Runner 2'.... And it's coming sooner than you might think."

According to the reports of Hollywood Reporter, the sequel of 'Maze Runner', titled 'Maze Runner: Scorch Trials', is scheduled to premiere, on September 18, 2015. It is believed that the production is on schedule and hence the movie is about to release soon. The sequel of the movie is based on James Dashner's Book Series released in 2010.

However, it is not yet known who will be taking charge of the production, but speculation suggests that the most likely candidate for the director's position is Wes Ball.
