Matthew McConaughey News, Rumors: Actor Tapped to Play Norman Osborn in 'Spider-Man' Reboot?
Matthew McConaughey has recently come forward to voice his interest in a superhero movie role, and a new rumor now suggest that they may know what this role is.
The actor may not be very picky in what property the movie is under, but he is concerned with the script and overall success of the franchise.
"I've read some Marvel and DC scripts and I've talked about working with them on some scripts, none of which I'll share with you what they are - or were," McConaughey stated. "Yeah, I've circled some of those. Nothing has been right for me yet. But I'm sure open to it."
The Hashtag Show claims that the actor is in fact up for the role as Norman Osborn in the 'Spider-Man' reboot.
The source hasn't yet been credited as a trustworthy news source, but they have recently come forward with news that has been confirmed to be true.
"It's worth noting that the following report comes from a relatively unknown source - The Hashtag Show. Nevertheless, THS that has provided accurate (albeit somewhat predictable) info in the past, allegedly via an inside source at Marvel, successfully reporting two Age of Ultron details before the films release (the fate of Quicksilver and the 'New' Avengers roster). For that reason, there's reason to mention THS' latest report - though readers should still take the following rumor with a major grain of salt - until an outlet with a bigger resume weighs-in," writes Screen Rant.
As of right now, neither Marvel or McConaughey have commented on the claims. It hasn't even been confirmed if Norman Osborn will be featured in the upcoming reboot.
More details should be revealed when the actor to play Spider-Man is officially announced.
