Matt Redman's New Album 'Glory Song' Released As Coast To Coast Tour Kicks Off
Two-time Grammy winner Matt Redman is hitting Los Angeles, Atlanta, Fayetteville (N.C.) and Las Vegas around the release of his Glory Song, released last Friday, adding a pre-show worship leader Q&A to shows through his coast to coast trek.
In support of the album, Redman appeared on Friday night's "TBN Praise."
Critics have noted the timeliness of Glory Song, saying "If there was ever a time the world needed an album like this from Matt Redman, it was now" (Hallels) alongside "genuine journey of faith that will renew your 'glory song' to God." (JesusFreakHideout).
Glory Song marks Redman's 13th album and a return to recording in a studio, which landed him at the iconic Capitol Studios in L.A. Notable to the theme of unity interwoven throughout Glory Song, Redman collaborated with co-writers like Grammy-winning Chris Tomlin, Jonas Myrin, Bryan and Katie Torwalt & more, and joined vocals with the likes of fellow Grammy acclaimed artists Kierra Sheard, Cobbs Leonard along with a gospel choir.
About the origin of the album title, Redman says, "When we worship God, it's essential to remember who it is we're singing to - and to make that song glorious. The worship of God should always be a glory song." Redman recently sat down with Worship Leader Magazine to discuss the album in greater depth, read the full interview here.
Redman will unite with Cobbs Leonard to perform "Gracefully Broken" at the 48th Annual Gospel Music Association (GMA) Dove Awards on Tuesday, Oct. 17 in Nashville, Tenn. In November, Redman will return his live show to the U.K. For the latest tour information, click here.
