'MasterChef' Celebrity Showdown: Two-Hour Special Sizzles To Air On Fox In January 2016
MasterChef fans are set to be on fire soon, as "MasterChef Celebrity Showdown" is coming to Fox in 2016. Also, the celebrity participants have now been revealed.
Multi-Michelin Guide starred chef Gordon Ramsay revealed "MasterChef Celebrity Showdown" on his Twitter account. On Dec. 18, he wrote on the social media platform "I think we have a Celebrity #MAsterChef Showdown!!! Can't wait for you to see #MCShowdown January 18th on @FOXTV!"
Ramsay also tweeted a challenge to any celebrity who wanted to be part of "MasterChef Celebrity Showdown."
The professional cook received responses from Gigi Hadid, Terry Crews and his wife Rebecca Crews, Nicole Ari Parker, Ta'Rhonda Jones, Devon Windsor, Boris Kodjoe, and Kaitlin Doubleday.
"Empire" actress Doubleday, who plays the role of Rhonda Lyon on the series, replied to Ramsay's tweet. She wrote on Twitter, "I want in on this #MCShowdown action @GordonRamsay - @TaRhondaJay meet me in the #MasterChef kitchen."
Jones, who plays Porsha, accepted the challenge and did some trashtalking. She tweeted, "@GordonRamsay @KaitlinDday let;s do this #MCShowdown thing. And I will wipe the kitchen floor with you.
Terry seemed ready to give the best of himself and his wife Rebecca in the show. He tweeted that Kodjoe and Parker were too cute to know how to cook, adding that he and Rebecca knew how to get their hands dirty.
However, Kodjoe responded on Twitter, telling Terry that "DIRTY" was his middle name and he dared them to take on him and Parker in the kitchen.
Fans are also set to witness a battle of supermodels in the kitchen in "MasterCher" Celebrity Showdown." Hadid challenged Windsor and the latter accepted his challenge. Windsor wrote on Twitter, "Challenge accepted @GigiHadid! Battle of the supermodels... It's on. @GordonRamsay #MCShowdown #chefdev."
Ranging from models to actors, Ramsay confirmed the appearance of the aforementioned personalities on the show, according to International Business Times.
In addition, winners of "MasterChef" and "MasterChef Junior" are set to battle in the kitchen for a cash prize for charity, as per The Wrap.
"MasterChef Celebrity Showdown's" two hour special airs on Jan. 18, 2016 on Fox.
