'Master Chef' New Judge News: Joe Bastianich Leaves Show, Producers Search for Replacement

For those that may not know, Joe Bastianich is one of the judges on the 'Master Chef' and 'Master Chef Junior' competition shows along with Gordon Ramsey and Graham Elliot. Beyond that, he's a chef and a restaurateur with quite a few restaurants of his own.

'Master Chef' and 'Master Chef Junior' are two cooking competitions shows where Ramsey, Elliot, and Bastianich judge the cooking skills of the contestants to find out which one is the best chef. The best chef is then awarded a grand prize of $100,000.

'Master Chef' has been on for five seasons and is currently casting for its sixth season while 'Master Chef Junior' is now casting for Season 3.

While Bastianich has been such an essential part of these competitions, he recently announced that he will be leaving these two shows after the third season of 'Master Chef Junior' begins.

He is currently working on five different television shows including 'Master Chef Italia' which he will continue to be a judge on.

He has said that he is leaving the American shows so that he can continue to focus on his own restaurants and his family. Bastianich will also be working on a travel series for Italian television called 'On the Road'. He will also continue to be a mentor and a host on CNBC's 'Restaurant Startup'.

On that note, Shine America is the production team for the 'Master Chef' shows, and they are currently looking for a replacement judge to work alongside Ramsey and Elliot.
