'Mass Effect: Andromeda' Release Date News: Expected To Arrive In Early 2017; Will A Year’s Wait Be Worth It?
Fans anticipating the release date of "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will have to wait about a year before they can get their hands on the game. But will it be worth the wait?
Blake Jorgensen told a recent conference at Morgan Stanley Technology that the release date for "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will fall between Jan. 1 to Mar. 31, 2017, which was a bit of a downer for fans who were led to think that the game will launch anytime this year.
"So we've still got another year of waiting for Mass Effect 4, but at least we finally have a (albeit still pretty-sizeable) launch window for the game," Trusted Review said. "And we can expect BioWare to drop a lot more information, trailers and screenshots for the game before then too, just to keep the hype train fuelled."
The Bioware blogsite has plenty of details for "Mass Effect: Andromeda."
"You will play a human, male or female," it said. You'll be exploring an all-new galaxy, Andromeda, and piloting the new and improved Mako you saw. And through it all, you will have a new team of adventurers to work with, learn from, fight alongside of, and fall in love with.
Apparently, Andromeda was starting to be developed just when the "Mass Effect 3: Citadel" was released, completing the trilogy in early 2013. The game took root out of all the best parts of its three predecessors.
Also, expect to get some more details for "Mass Effect: Andromeda" towards the end of the year ahead of the release date in the first quarter of 2017, as Jorgensen himself promised at the conference.
