'Mass Effect: Andromeda' Release Date, News: Post-Trilogy Game Coming In Q1 2017, Available On PS 4, Xbox One, Windows

In line with the upcoming game "Mass Effect: Andromeda," it has been revealed that it is set to be released in the first quarter of 2017.

In a statement, EA CFO Blake Jorgensen said at the Morgan Stanley's Technology, Media, & Telecom Conference that "Mass Effect" would be launched between January and March 2017 and would be coming in EA's "fourth quarter" EA's fiscal year, as per NeoGAF.

During the event, Jorgensen said that they had got a great year ahead, adding that they had got their Battlefield first-person shooter game coming in the third quarter and the third-party and second title that Respawn, their partner, built into brand, which was called "Titanfall."

According to Jorgensen, both games were first-person shooters and would be targeted around the rapid and action-driver shooter market, along with the strategy-oriented market in the said quarter. He initially added that they had the "Mirror's Edge" runner game in the first quarter, with "Mass Effect," in the fourth quarter.

For Jorgensen, 2016 really excites him.

The delay in the release of "Mass Effect: Andromeda" has also been linked with the departure of BioWare Montreal senior development and creative director Chris Wynn in January. However, the postponed launch of the game permits the studio with adequate time to improve "Mass Effect: Andromeda," which stands as the firm's post-trilogy "Mass Effect" title, as per Game Rant.

Developed by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts, "Mass Effect: Andromeda" stands as an action role-playing third-person shooter video game. Set in the Andromeda Galaxy, players are set to pilot the new Mako, a hexawheeled buggy-type transportation seen in the first "Mass Effect" game.

"Mass Effect: Andromeda" is playable in PS 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. With the revelation of the "Mass Effect: Andromeda's" launch in 2017, fans are yet to wait for the exact release date.
