'Mass Effect: Andromeda' News, Release Date: Upcoming Books Set To Expand Canon?
Fans are still abuzz about the books reportedly coming out that will further explore the "Mass Effect: Andromeda" universe.
According to the reports, Bioware has enlisted Hugo Award-nominee N.K. Jesmin to write about the first book, titled "Mass Effect Andromeda: Initiation," which will lay the groundwork for the remaining three books. The first novel will reportedly be released in August this year.
The article added that the second and third books may be released in March and September 2017, respectively.
In a blog post, developer Bioware confirmed the news about the "Mass Effect: Andromeda" books coming out.
"These novels will give us the opportunity to expand the Mass Effect universe and bring new stories to life outside of the games," it wrote. "We are still in the midst of the creative process, but we are working with a talented group of writers to bring these exciting new stories to our fans."
Bioware dismissed the earlier news reports that the first of the "Mass Effect: Andromeda" book series will be launched in August. "We'll have a proper announcement with all the juicy details at a later date," it added.
In related news, the teaser clip for "Mass Effect: Andromeda" has just been released, and it shows the new female hero, a new Asari ally and a new squad member of the Krogan. They seem to be going on another mission following the events of "Mass Effect 3."
Although "Mass Effect: Andromeda" was originally scheduled to release this year, it was delayed to March 2017 instead.
