'Mass Effect Andromeda' News: Game Developer Leaves BioWare, PlayStation Executive To Increase PS4 Sales

In addition to "Mass Effect: Andromeda" update and Sony's Plans for 2016, "Mass Effect: Andromeda" Senior Development Director Chris Wynn also leaves BioWare.

On Dec. 22, Wynn tweeted it was had a heavy heart that day to say that he was moving on from BioWare and Mass Effect: Andromeda. The game developer added that he was set to return to the United States.

Wynn also wrote on Twitter that he would join the passionate N7 community and would eagerly await the release of Andromeda with equal enthusiasm, while extending his holiday greetings to fans. According to Wynn, the "Andromeda" team was the most talented team that he had ever worked with. He added that it was truly inspiring to had worked with them each and every day.

Wynn's departure has shocking many "Mass Effect: Andromeda" fans; however, the bad news is balanced by a good one, as the upcoming game was able to have longtime lead writer Drew Karpyshyn, according to Game Rant.

While Karpyshyn returns to BioWare, it does not necessarily suggest the release another project. In his interview with Game Rant, the lead writer said that he suspected a lot of folks were going to wonder if it meant BioWare was about to announce a new project tied to his return. He said a resounding "No."

Meanwhile, PlayStation executive Shuhei Yoshida said in a statement via Express UK that they wanted to thank Wynn for his contributions and wished him the best in his new adventures. He added that development of "Mass Effect: Andromeda" continued to move full speed ahead at BioWare Montreal, Austin, and Edmonton.

Yoshida is also thrilled to say that Sony's plans in 2016 is set to boost the sales of the PlayStation 4 gaming console. In his interview with 4Gamer, Yoshida said that 2016 marked an unprecedented rush of big titles for PS4. He also mentioned that it was also the year of the long-awaited launch of PlayStation VR.

Yoshida added that 2016 was the year PS4 users and those who were on the fence on whether to buy it would probably think. For the PlayStation executive, it was good to have PS4 and advised gamers and PS fans to look forward to it.
