'Mass Effect 4' Gameplay, Release Date News: New Weather Effects? Launch Window in 2016 Q4 [VIDEO]
Ever since Electronic Arts (EA) confirmed that the science fiction action role-playing third person shooter video game 'Mass Effect 4' is under development, fans have been eager to know when they could get their hands on the upcoming title. Recently, the senior development director of the game, developed by Bioware, offered some details about 'Mass Effect 4' on Twitter, hinting that the upcoming title will include weather effects.
Latin Post reports that though EA offered a glimpse of 'Mass Effect 4' by releasing a trailer during its 2015 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) event, it did not reveal too many details regarding the upcoming title.
In fact, game developer BioWare also acknowledged that they were unable to release additional information yet, apart from what was revealed in the trailer.
BioWare recently published a post on its official website saying, "While we aren't ready to go into too many details just yet, as you saw in the trailer and can tell by the name, this game is very much a new adventure, taking place far away from and long after the events of the original trilogy."
As seen in the trailer, the upcoming game title will be set in the Andromeda galaxy, which is very far away from the Milky Way, which was the setting for 'Mass Effect 3.'
While details regarding the gameplay of 'Mass Effect: Andromeda' is very limited, Chris Wynn, the development director of the game, recently took to his Twitter handle to reveal latest information about the upcoming title. He indicated that the new game may possibly include environment elements with a view to make it more thrilling.
Wynn tweeted, "Tech art team just blew me away with a demo of weather effects on objects and characters in game. Was ridiculously cool. #MEAndromeda."
Meanwhile, Attack of the Fanboy reported that apparently the developers are planning to feature a new planetary setting that displays different weather conditions and various kinds of atmosphere.
If this is true, 'Mass Effect: Andromea' will be entirely different from the previous three titles of the series.
Moreover, BioWare noted that players can play the game as either a female or male character as reveled in the trailer. However, the developers clarified that there will be some changes in the characters too.
'Mass Effect 4' will only be available on current generation consoles - PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in addition to the PC. BioWare announced during the 2015 E3 that 'Mass Effect: Andromeda' will be released in the last quarter of 2016.
