Mary Mary's Erica Campbell Share's Acting Plans, 'People Want Me to Be a Gospel Singer, but I Want to Play a Librarian or Maybe Even a Killer' (VIDEO)

Since going solo, Erica Campbell has really made a name for herself. In an interview with "The Yolanda Adams Morning Show" she shares her acting plans and new ministry venture with her husband.

After over a decade of creating great gospel music with her sister Tina Campbell as the dynamic duo Mary Mary, Campbell officially started her solo career the end of last year with her very successful radio hit "A Little More Jesus." Campbell has been taking the mainstream market by storm as a solo artist and has already scored a Grammy nomination.

Campbell and her husband Warryn Campbell l have been faithful with a Bible study that has now turned into what the singer tells the morning show the California worship center.

The very busy mother and wife said although she fights fear of not having time to do everything she dares not say no to the ministry. Acknowledging the scripture, "to whom much is given much is required," she declared, "He will give us the grace."

"We are trying to create that type of environment where we empower people to really do God's work outside the doors. Inside of the doors is important but outside of the doors is much more important," Campbell told the radio show of the worship center.

Campbell also revealed that she has an agent that is currently scouting for roles and said she is "looking at scripts."

"People want me to be a gospel singer, but I want to play a librarian or maybe even a killer or something," expressing that she is into sci-fi and mystery.

Campbell's debut album, "Help" from is currently available online and in stores now. Mary Mary's self-titled WE TV series airs every Thursday at 9 p.m. ET.
