It was just announced that gospel star Erica Campbell is nominated for a BET Award for the Best Gospel Artist category. This is her very first nomination as a solo artist after previously winning three in her as part of duo, Mary Mary.

Her solo album, HELP, was released on MyBlock Inc / eOne earlier this year and has been a hit. It is being labeled one of the best gospel albums this year, and debuted at Number 1 on the Top Gospel Chart and Number 6 on the Top 200 Chart. It sat as the number one gospel album for four straight weeks. "Help," the single, is currently number six on the Gospel BDS chart.

Campbell is headlining the McDonald's Inspiration Gospel Tour this summer, which passes through: Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, Jackson, Los Angeles, Memphis, Newark, Oakland, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and Raleigh. Back for its eighth year, the free summer concert series sets out May 10 and runs through July 25 to deliver messages of hope and inspiration to communities nationwide.

She is also appearing on BET's "Sunday Best" and at the Essence Music Festival and New Orleans Jazz Festival.

In its third season on WE tv, Erica's hit show, "Mary Mary," has garnered the best ratings to date. The season finale airs tomorrow May 15th at 9pm ET/CT on WE tv.

The busy singer is also enjoying success with the third season of the WE TV hit "Mary Mary." "Mary Mary" has been garnering their highest ratings ever. Considered the most personal season ever, the show chronicled her sister Tina's extremely difficult year getting past infidelity in her marriage.
