Marvel’s 'Agents of SHIELD' Season 2 Episode 19 Recap: Coulson & Gonzales in 'The Dirty Half Dozen'

Episode 19 of the Second Season of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD begins with Coulson appealing to Gonzales.

The two want the same thing, which is to eliminate Hydra, and Coulson proposes that they put their differences aside and work towards the same goal - after "Frenemy."

Mike Peterson and Lincoln were taken to a Hydra base, which is located deep in the arctic.

List and Bakshi plan to experiment on them. Coulson wants to save them and if Gonzales allows him to do so, he'll open Fury's tool box in return. Gonzales wants to jump at the opportunity, but puts it to a vote first.

Weaver and Oliver think it's too risky, Bobbi and Gonzales think it's a good plan, but May wants to talk to Coulson before she makes her decision.

She is upset at him for lying about his trips, and also because he brought Ward back.

Coulson tells her that he was going to her ex husband, Andrew for counseling and will apologize to her later, but wants to put their differences aside and free the enhanced humans under Hydra's hostage.

She agrees and the team heads to the Hydra base to put their plan into action.

However, List and Bakshi anticipate their arrival and launch an attack on the Bus.

The team survives the crash and breaks into Hyrda's base anyway. Coulson, May and Fitz split up, while Sky, Ward and Simmons go to find and rescue the captives.

Next week's episode will be set in an Avengers: Age of Ultron aftermath.
