Acclaimed singer-songwriter Mark Schultz is announcing his first full-length album in six years, Follow, releasing on Aug. 17. The new project features Schultz's brand new songs "Hope is Rising," "Time Goes So Fast," "Psalm 91," and more, as well as fan-favorites such as worship anthems, "I Am," and "God of Glory."

The first single off the new album is the title track, "Follow," which is set to hit radio in late July, with the full album releasing on Aug. 17, as previously mentioned. The powerful lead single parallels how Schultz navigates his life, not by his own will, but by seeking God's.

Originally inspired by a story he heard about a girl with a rough upbringing and no father-figure, Schultz discovered that "Follow" reaches even further than he would have ever thought.

He says, "As I lived with the song, I thought, 'This isn't just for her; this is for me. What do I follow?"

If you have listened to Christian music over the past 18 years, chances are good you will start humming your favorite Mark Schultz tune once you hear his name, including songs like the aforementioned "I Am," "Remember Me," "All Things Possible," and "Broken & Beautiful."

Speaking about his career, Schultz says that while many artists talk about chasing their dreams, for him it has never been about chasing dreams. Instead, Schultz says, he would rather be a follower, going after God's call for his life. Incidentally, this has led to what many would consider a dream, garnering over two million records sold to date, with ten No. 1 hit singles, one Dove Award win as well as multiple nominations.

Pre-orders for Follow will begin on July 27 everywhere music can be streamed or downloaded.
