Mark Ruffalo News: Hulk Actor Responds to Jason Statham's Comments Insulting SuperHero Movies

Actor Jason Statham was recently quoted saying some fairly derogatory things about actors who portray superheroes in Marvel and DC films, and basically trashing the whole state of the industry.

"I could take my grandma and put her in a cape, and then put her in a greenscreen, and then have stunt doubles come in and do all the action," he said. "Anybody can do it. I mean, they're relying on stunt doubles, and greenscreen, and $200 million budget, it's all CGI-created. So to me, that is not authentic. I'm inspired by old, real star guys that can really do it."

While Statham is a fairly respected actor in the action genre, his statement may not be dispalaced, however it wasn't until recently that Mark Ruffalo, an actor in the massive MCU franchise, responded to the 'Furious 7' star's insulting comments.

In a recent interview with Vulture, when Ruffalo was prompted to state his thoughts on the statement, he comically retorts:

"I mean, do you really need to ask that question? It's Jason Statham. He's like a featherweight. He's got nothing on me! Clearly."

Ruffalo obviously indirectly stated that there isn't any actual bad blood and that Statham is entitled to his opinion.

The statement was also attributed to the actor's recent falling out with Marvel's 'Daredevil' in portraying the role as Bullseye in season 2. It was also rumored that the early leak of his involvement drove him out of negotiations.
