Mark Hall Cancer Update: Casting Crowns Front Man Out of Surgery & On A Long Road to Recovery [VIDEO]
Casting Crowns fans around the world prayed yesterday as the lead singer of the band Mark Hall went into surgery to remove a cancerous kidney. On social media the band detailed Hall's experience and now says the road to recovery will take a while.
See Hall's post to fans right before entering surgery HERE and HERE. Directly after the surgery someone from the Casting Crowns camp took to Facebook with a photo of all his family and friends and the hospital staff and a status update.
Read update below:
"The day started off with the band and close family and friends praying with us at the hospital. There was a feeling of Christian fellowship and a peace. Laughs and hugs.
I'm sure you've seen his silly hospital videos. He has been in great spirits today. He worked late last night and was pretty tired and ready to go to sleep. He asked the anesthesiologist if could just sleep till it was time to go home. :) (She said no.)
Can't believe it, but so far every hospital staff person I've met so far has said they've been praying for us already. We came here prepared to love on them but they have been loving on us.
Mark is out of surgery. Everything went really well. Doctor says textbook operation. Just like we prayed for. I told the doctor that he might possibly be the most prayed for Dr. on the planet today. He will be in recovery for a while. Thank you so much for your prayers."
Hall even tweeted, "Went good. I'm ok."
Just days after the group announced that they released their album Glorious Days: Hymns of Faith, in-stores and at all Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores, Hall took to social media with a message stating that doctors found a solid mass in his right kidney about a week ago. Maintaining that they are 90% sure it was cancer and will have to remove the entire kidney.
As the worshiper went into surgery prayers for healing began to flood the group's page. Also friends of Hall started hash tags and memes to spread the word for prayer.
No further information has been released on Hall's condition but join us in prayer and in faith for his total healing. For updates follow Hall on Twitter HERE.
