'Mario Maker' Release Date Rumors: Game Set for Launch in Second Half of 2015 [VIDEO]

Despite the original promise from the Japanese game developer, 'Mario Maker,' the design-it-yourself game developed by Nintendo Entertainment Analysis and Development for Wii U, might not be released for Nintendo's eighth-generation console anytime during the first half of 2015.

IB Times reports that though Nintendo still plans to release 'Mario Maker' in 2015, the company has said that it does not offer any assurance that the game will reach the players before June. This information was obtained from a press release stating the earnings of the Japanese game developer and publisher.

Nintendo unveiled 'Mario Maker' at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in June 2014. The upcoming game will enable players to develop their personal 2D platform 'Super Mario' levels by putting in blocks, enemies, items as well as additional features from the first 'Super Mario Bros.' game.

Earlier, the release of 'Mario Maker' was meant to be a part of the 30th anniversary celebrations of the original 'Super Mario Bros.' In fact, this platform video game launched in September 1985 for the Nintendo Entertainment System and was declared it as the best game of all time in 2005 by a poll by IGN.

According to Nintendo, the 'Mario Maker' game will allow the players to share their creations with other users. It further said that four different styles of games have been planned, including themes from 'Super Mario Bros.,' 'Super Mario Bros. 3,' 'Super Mario World' as well as 'New Super Mario Bros. U.'

However, Nintendo has yet to reveal whether or not the various worlds and levels in the previous games will be accessible.
