'Mario Kart 8' DLC News: Title Going To Be Released In Early Next Year?
New details on the release date and game play of Nintendo's "Mario Kart 8" DLC have surfaced.
The next DLC for "Mario Kart 8" is assumed to be released in the early part of 2017, Christian Today has learned. As per the publication, this stays as a grain of salt, as Nintendo has not yet announced an official release date for the forthcoming content.
It is also speculated that the upcoming "Mario Kart 8" DLC is set to be the biggest game of the franchise, as it has the largest content, among the other "Mario Kart" title's. In addition, it is believed that the title might also be Nintendo's lasy DLC, as the company is set to shift its gear towards the development and release of its forthcoming gaming console, the Nintendo NX.
On June 3, Nintendo tweeted a screenshot of the Kalimari Desert from "Mario Kart 64." In caption, the studio wrote "Good things come to those who wait." This ignited rumors that the aforementioned desert is set to be one of the locales in the game's DLC, along with other classics from "Mario Kart 64" and the title's predecessors.
According to Nintendo's "Mario Kart 8" website, fans can join the race using three new vehicles - the GLA, the W25 Silver Arrow, and the 300 SL Roadster. Gamers can also purchase the DLC packs or the Pack 1 and Pack 2 bundle through the in-game shop section in "Mario Kart 8" or Nintendo eShop.
Both games require over 2.0 GB of storage space and an external USB hard drive may be needed to download them from the Nintendo eShop.
